Our precious girl Hazel was born Tuesday, June 3rd at 5:12 pm. She weighed 8 lbs. 8 oz. and was 21 in. long. We were surprised how big she was! I was induced a week after my due date at 7 am. Here is a short summary of the birth- At about 8:15 I received pitocin and then progressed pretty quickly. I got an epidural and really felt hardly any pain during the whole labor. I was checked at 3 pm and was dilated to 8 cm. We were so excited, we would soon see our baby girl. After waiting for the Dr. to arrive, I stared pushing at 4:45 and she was delivered at 5:12. It went better than expected! We were so thrilled to finally greet our little girl. Jesse has a weak stomach and still did really well, he watched a little, and even cut the cord! He really impressed me. My mom was in the room to capture the delivery.

Congratulations, Dori and Jesse! Hazel is beautiful!! I love her name--old school yet hip! Great job...coming up with a creative name is so tough! I can't wait to meet sweet baby Hazel!!
