We made our usual Christmas Eve drive to Waco to spend the day with Jesse's family. We had a great lunch, white elephant gift exchange and had our own family Christmas Eve service. This year Jesse and I were in charge of the reading, so Hazel and I made felt ornaments and then read a scripture that described the meaning behind the ornaments while Hazel hung them on Nanny's tree! Hazel and Eli loved seeing their cousins, grandma and extended family! The highlight of the trip was seeing Jesse's cousin Madison, who got out of the hospital before expected and surprised the family. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks and miraculously recovered after a very serious case of Pancreatitis. We are thankful God healed him!!

Christmas morning was spent at our house with my parents, and Ashlei, Brian, Dawson, Caleb and Meredith! Dawson and Hazel both received bikes from Santa and Eli got a tricycle. The kids had a ton of fun opening gifts and playing with all of their new toys!! We managed to fit in riding bikes and playing outside even though it rained and was cold!

My family celebrated Christmas on Wednesday with a cousin gift exchange, sibling gift exchange and great food! Hazel's favorite gift this year was her penguin dream light from her cousin. We were so excited to have Ashlei's family stay with us the whole week of Christmas! Five kids under the age of five...crazy but so fun! We even made history and all 10 of us (sisters and spouses) went out on a date night together! We surprised Ashlei at a country and western dance hall where we danced to almost every song...a fun tradition we need to start every year!
