Our talented girl and BIG boy!

May 14th- Hazel's music show at school, "Kinder's Got Talent!"
The kindergarten students did such a great job singing and dancing and kept us all laughing and entertained. The whole group sang 4 songs and each class did their own, unique song. Hazel's class impressed us with a song using rhythm sticks.

May 18th- Hazel's first dance recital-Boni's Studio
I practiced Hazel's tap dance with her throughout the week leading up to her recital. I wanted her to try to memorize the dance and not rely on her teacher for cues. I was so proud her hard work payed off! Hazel was excited, a little nervous and thrilled to get her flowers! We all had so much fun celebrating our adorable Hazel Paige! Grandee, grandad, Aunt Ash, her cousins and friends Claire and Emily came to see Hazel's tap dance to Grand 'Ol Flag.

We can officially call Eli a BIG BOY!

Our family to made the trek to IKEA and bought Eli a big boy bed the last weekend in April. He had been climbing out of his crib and coming down to our room the past few months; a new and very frustrating time for parents of two great sleepers!! We had to start locking him in his room for his nap, and he soon realized he still had to take a nap. The first night sleeping in his big bed didn't go too well; he woke up 4 times and came to our room! Thankfully our sweet boy has slowly gotten back to being our good sleeper, and is proud that he is in a big boy bed!

May 20th-22nd-Potty Training Boot Camp!
Eli has surprised us with his newest accomplishment, he has done really well with potty training. Since Hazel took a year to potty train, Jesse and I are very excited that Eli beat his big sister and is trained in about a week!!!
Ashlei and I decided to do our 3 day potty training together, and tried to make it fun and exciting for Meredith, Caleb and Eli. There were a lot of candy rewards, and nonstop entertainment within an arms reach of their potties. Eli was ready and did a lot better than expected. He still wears a diaper for bedtime and nap time, but has woken up from nap dry a few days this week. I am so proud that Eli proved his skeptical mom and dad wrong!

Jesse helped us get ready and surprised Eli with Spiderman and Cars undies.
Eli got to choose a toy after he pooped on the potty for the first time, and he chose a batman toy! His first super hero!
